Holiday Gift Card & Food Drive Volunteers

The Holiday Baskets program typically supports around 500 families. The Shoreline PTA Council coordinates a food drive and collection of teen gift cards throughout all of the Shoreline Schools. Toys are collected at various locations in the community. The Holiday Baskets program typically supports around 500 families! If you are interested in participating in this event, we are always looking for volunteers to help get the food from the classrooms, organize into boxes in the foyer of the school and eventually take the big haul to the collection school of the year where all the baskets are made.

Annual Auction Volunteer Needs

Brookside PTA Auction will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2020, and is the biggest night in the calendar for adults in the Brookside community. Join the auction team! It's a fun group of parents and your efforts will have a powerful impact on Brookside students and staff! Reach out to this year's Auction Committee Chairs, Saul Clifasefi and Noemi Loza for any questions you may have about this event. Below is a list of volunteer opportunities for this year's auction:

  • Procurement Committee - This is the most important team and the way you can have the biggest impact! Work with Christina Nelson and Myrna Habermann to procure items needed for this year's auction!
  • Graphics/Web Designer – Work with the auction chairs to design the “look” of the auction in marketing materials, website, signage, etc. Sept-Oct and Jan-March.
  • Theme & Decor Committee - This team selects a theme for the auction and coordinates all the decorations!
  • Food and Beverages Committee -  This team puts together a plan for the dinner and the drinks!
  • Gift Basket Coordinator – Create beautiful and fun basket combinations from various procured auction items. Jan-March.
  • Class Art Project Coordinator - Work with students and teachers to create unique classroom art projects to sell as auction items. This is a joint-position, with one open slot. Jan-March.
  • Auction Check-in/Out Coordinator – Lead volunteers in the process of guest check-in/out. Late March & night of the auction.
