Kindergarten Playdates!   Kindergarteners and their families are invited to gather at the Brookside Playground. There are two Playdates: 8/26/17 10am-12pm and 8/31/17 6pm to 8pm.   Playdates are parent run and PTA organized. They are a great way to get to know your child’s classmates and their parents. Many lifelong friendships—for both parents and children—are formed in kindergarten.   Please join us on  March 10th  at the Brookside Gym for this year’s talent show,  Brookside’s Got Talent!    The show starts at  6pm.  Doors will open at  5:30pm  to give you time find a seat and look at the wonderful art made by Brookside students at the Blue Jay Art Walk.   Please also consider donating to this year's Toiletries Drive for the Works. Walk-a-thon The 6th annual Brookside Walk-a-thon is coming up on Thursday, October 19th from 1:30-3:30pm.  This fun healthy, community building event raises money for Brookside PTA.   Funds raised at the Walkathon support Brookside students and teachers for classroom enrichment, field trip support, Art Docent classroom projects, teacher grants and many other activities. Pledge envelopes went home the 1st week of October. Please note the pledge sheet is the 2nd purple page of the sheets stapled to your envelope. In conjunction with the Shoreline PTA Council, schools across Shoreline donate food and gift items that are given to over 500 Shoreline families in need. Boxes of food, paper goods, toiletries, toys and teen gift cards are assembled and distributed to families to assist during the holiday season.
