Art Docent Program

The PTA Art Docent Program is now in it’s 5th year! We will continue our format of showcasing an artist, talking about design elements, engaging in a lively discussion and following-up with an art project, as this process is working beautifully.

Our first artist of the year was Tony Angell. Everyone got to carve his or her favorite bird into a piece of softcut and then we rolled black paint over the stamp and pressed the image onto a piece of paper. Our second featured artist is Helen Frankenthaler who is known for her abstract style, followed by Katrina Thorstensen, who is known for her pastel landscapes and then off to Maya Lyn known for her sculptures. Our final artist is still in the works.

As always we promise the journey will be fun, enriching, interesting and sure to spark the imagination. Thank you for all your past and continued support.
